“Thanksgiving” is this week and though many find this as a time to be thankful or to spend time with family, many indigenous people find it triggering. The Wampanoag Tribe were the first to make contact with and saved the European settlers’ lives by sharing their food, clothing, medicine, and techniques for surviving these new lands.
